If you’ve
been researching home
heating systems, chances are your head is
spinning right about now. It’s no wonder!
The number of types of radiant heaters available for
residences or businesses could make anyone dizzy in no time
at all. There’s really a lot of selection for
homeowners to choose from. Today we’ll discuss
the electric cable heating system kind of radiant
heaters. Electric cable heating systems are gaining
popularity in as radiant heaters and are ideal for
heating smaller areas (10-300 square feet) like
bathrooms, kitchens, and sun rooms. These systems are
comprised of a thermostat and a heating cable. On some
systems, the cable is be shipped as a large spool of
cable. These systems are oftentimes less expensive,
and give you the ability to space the cable how you want
and customize a layout that will heat every square inch of
your floor. Other systems have the cable attached to a
plastic mesh or tape to create a mat to maintain its
proper spacing.
Every available cable system is equally
effective, so when determining which radiant heater
system to purchase, you should look at the warranty of
the product, along with the ease of installation. Some
cables must be embedded in a separate layer of
concrete or mortar, whereas other systems can simply
be installed in the thinset.
Radiant Heaters Tip: When heating smaller
areas with a radiant heater, it is next to impossible
to beat the simplicity and price of an electric cable
heating system.

Now is the Time to Install Radiant Heat
Now is the Time to Save Money and go "Green" with a
Clean Radiant Heat Snow Melting System
If you’re one of those unfortunate
souls who has to manually remove snow from
the driveway and walks every winter, you may want to
reconsider your methods. The passing of new snow
removal laws (such as that in Massachusetts)
don’t make it any easier on homeowners, who
are now mandated to provide snow and
ice-free walkways for pedestrians. If the sidewalks
are not cleared, property owners are not
only susceptible to personal injury lawsuits,
but they also face the possibility of fines, levied
by the local government. Removing snow from
your driveway and sidewalks is no longer an
option – it’s the law
Many consumers stock up on salt and other
snow melting chemicals to ease the physical
burden of shoveling the snow, but the amount of
time, money and adverse environmental
effects of these chemicals can be evident
year round. While effective in melting snow,
salt and chemicals are not so friendly to
the surrounding landscape. When spring hits,
the bordering grass and shrubs often reveal the ugly
scars from the repeated salt and chemical
use during the winter.
So if you’re serious about going
green (in more ways than one), consider
this. Radiant heat snow melting systems:
|
♦
|
Operate on
clean, renewable energy (hydronic or
electric) |
|
♦
|
Are safe and
environmentally friendly |
|
♦
|
Are fully
automated so that they efficiently
operate only when needed |
|
♦
|
Operate
discreetly and silently |
Of course, one of the most significant
“selling points” of radiant snow
melting systems is that it eliminates the time
consuming, physical demands of the
homeowner.
The best time to purchase and install a snow
melting system is during the early spring.
You are much more likely to discover discounted
prices, because the demand typically wanes when the
weather begins to warm. Springtime is a time
when homeowners are more interested in
outdoor grills and barbeques than snow melting
systems. Of course, once the summer has run
its course and Old Man Winter is peeking around the
corner, consumers tend to scramble to install a snow
melting system before the first storm hits.

Pipe Tracing Systems
Prevent Water
Damage from Ruptured Pipes
Every year that we grace this earth with
our presence, our lives seem to get more
complicated. We go from fighting our parents
when they tell us it is nap time to
sitting at our desks during the work day
dreaming of nap time. Busy lives leave
little time for peace and quiet. New
products come out every day designed to simplify
our lives and make one aspect of it a
bit more manageable. Some of these products are
gimmicks or passing fads (a flash in the
pan, my grandma would say) and others
prove to have staying power. One of these
simplifying ideas here to stay is a
snowmelt system. Snowmelt
systems are designed to simplify
your life and save you time clearing snow from
your driveway and sidewalks.
Radiant snowmelt
systems lie beneath the surface of your
driveway and/or sidewalk and work
automatically to keep your property clear of
snow. Busy people with hectic lives
across the country are jumping on the driveway
heating bandwagon because it not
only saves precious time but also precious money
as well. Over time you’ll save
money on snow blowers, shovels, snow gear,
ice melt, and other snow melting chemicals.
You’ll also be protecting your
driveway from harsh chemicals and plowing as
well as from ice and snow.
Snowmelt systems are energy efficient,
so once the initial investment of
installation has passed, your cost to run and
operate the driveway heating system is
minimal – especially since they are
programmed to run only when needed. The
automatic
sensors detect moisture and turn the system
on only when the snow starts to fall.
See, I told you it was simple. So go ahead,
simplify your life this year and install
a heated
driveway system.

affordable, it is still not a home
improvement purchase that should be done on a whim.

In today’s housing market, it’s
not a bad idea to add value to your home in new
and innovative ways.For example, don’t
just think about renovating a bathroom, consider
using radiant
heaters to warm towel racks in the bathroom, or a
heated floor. Can you think of anything
cozier on a chilly winter morning than toasty
toes when you step out of the shower?
Not only is radiant heating is
one of the most comfortable ways to heat your
home, but radiant heaters also offer a surprisingly wide
diversity of applications. Radiant
heaters can be used in a number of applications,
including in tiled areas, hardwood flooring,
carpeted areas, cement floors, basements, and
garages. You see, radiant
heaters are a type of heater that warms objects
instead of air. Radiant heat uses objects, such
as the floor, to heat a home. The air in the
room is warmed when it comes into contact with the
warmed objects. Heat loss is reduced and the
radiant heat remains in the lower part of the
room, warmer near feet level and slightly less so at
head level, creating the perfect climate for
comfort.
Radiant Heaters Tip:
whether you’re building a new home or
updating your current home, you owe it to yourself to
check out the comfort that radiant heat has to offer.

Upon hearing the words,
“What can Brown do for You? ®”
an immediate vision comes to mind of a large, brown
delivery truck with the name UPS emblazoned on
each side. United Parcel Service has done an
incredible job to bring their name to the forefront in
the package-delivery market. The same might
be said regarding “The Golden Arches
®,” McDonald’s famous advertising
ploy. Most highly-successful businesses are
easily recognized by a catchy slogan or an
eye-catching symbol.
We at Warmzone want to be
known in the radiant heat arena as the company
that will do everything possible to “just
make sense” of what might be a confusing array of
possibilities for consumers who are seeking
information on alternative heating sources.
Why are such vast
numbers seeking an alternative radiant heating source
?
Questar Gas Company, included
the following message with January’s fuel
bill mailing: “As you have seen,
natural gas bills this winter are significantly higher
than last year. Even with all the news about
higher natural gas prices, reality doesn’t
set in until your bill is opened.” Unless
customers have been oblivious to drastic increases
in fuel costs over the past two months, this was
somewhat of an understatement. More than just
reality has set in upon consumers! Caught
somewhere in the middle of paying a huge fuel bill
and taking a sick child to see a doctor, people
are taking a stand against such increases.
President Bush has encouraged
our nation to look for alternative sources as we
have become “addicted to oil.” In
his state of the union address on January 31, 2006 he
announced the Advanced Energy Initiative, a 22%
increase in clean-energy research at the
Department of Energy, “to push for breakthroughs
in two vital areas. To change how we power our
homes and offices, we will invest more in
zero-emission coal-fired plants, revolutionary solar and
wind technologies, and clean, safe nuclear
energy.” Quoting once more from the
Questar message: “As you can see, prices on the
open market are volatile and have increased to
record highs this year both nationally and locally.”
Volatile, skyrocketing,
record high fuel costs provide reasons aplenty for
so many people to turn to Warmzone.com for
guidance in finding the best-possible radiant heat
system for their needs. Consumers are
finding themselves backed into a corner and are
looking for an efficient, comfortable alternative.
That just makes sense!
With our commitment to
researching the best options for radiant heat and
assessing each job individually, our research and
design team is prepared to design each project with the
ideal system to meet the needs of our customers at the
best available prices.
Warmzone is a different kind
of company. Unlike a manufacturer, we do not
favor one system over another. We
acknowledge the fact that there are dozens of brands
and types of radiant systems that offer unique
qualities, but no one system is the answer for
every project. We take great interest in
your project goals, requirements and budget and then
provide you with a quote for the best system
available to complete your project. We may
suggest using an electric, hydronic or a combination of
these technologies. There are clear
advantages and disadvantages to each system and
technology. We will explain why we prefer one
system over another for your particular
project. At Warmzone.com, you can expect
simple, honest explanations for our suggestions to you.
Customer service is at the
top of our priority list. As with
“Brown” or the “Golden
Arches,” we would be nothing without you,
the consumer. We are committed to helping
people install the latest in innovative radiant heat
systems by providing:
1. High quality materials
2. Installation packages that simplify the
work.
3. Design assistance
4. Installation advice and support.
5. The latest ideas in energy efficiency and
alternative energy. We are not satisfied
until you are satisfied. That, of course,
makes perfect sense!
Radiant heat systems are
constantly evolving – which can be a
challenge when it comes to deciding which is the
best system for your project. You can be assured
that Warmzone will consider every system and then
offer you the best technology for your project.
Most of the systems we design
and sell can easily be installed by any plumbing
and heating professional or general
contractor. But if you cannot find either
professional in your area, our products can be
installed by any reasonably-competent
handyman. Custom design and engineering packages
are also available to assure that you are getting
off on the right foot with your heating
investment. These plans take the guess work out of the
installation and become a road map for your system
for future reference or to pass on to the next
home owner.
We welcome your inquiries and
are prepared to help you with your radiant heat
decisions. Warmzone is the only
company matching individual heating projects to
solutions that make sense among the wide variety
of available choices. We’re not
“brown,” nor are we “gold,”
but we are leading out to assure customers make
the right choice in the ever-increasing radiant
heating market.

Not traditionally
used in heating homes, flat panel radiant
heaters are used to heat objects via radiant heat
transfer. These radiant heaters have traditionally
been used in a variety of industries and applications,
such as space heating, drying, curing, and water
evaporation. More recently, these heating systems are also
gaining popularity in home heating applications as well.
Radiant
heaters use different types of emitter surfaces. Choices
include: quartz, high-temperature glass, stainless
steel, and ceramic tiles. These are all materials that
are easily and efficiently used in home applications
such as flooring, countertops, and towel racks. Because
these items are easily turned into emitter surfaces for
radiant heat, they can easily and beautifully be
incorporated into home heating applications such as
heated floors, walls, and towel racks.
To find out about radiant heaters for your home,
check with the folks at warmzone.com. They have a
complete product catalog of radiant heating solutions
that can accommodate almost any application or budget.
Radiant Heaters Tip: radiant heaters a great way
to efficiently heat a home, while maximizing your
home’s beauty, but they are very cost effective
and easy to install.

When the first day of winter arrived over the
weekend, it brought along cold weather and the
potential for incredibly high heating bills.
Installing radiant
heaters in a home under construction or in an
existing home is proven to cut heating costs. It
works by putting water lines in the
home’s concrete floors or under existing floors
and running hot water through them.
Radiant
heaters help to keep the whole house at a more
constant temperature. In this way, our regular
heaters don’t have to do as much to keep
things warm and toasty during the winter. It might take
a little effort, but being more environmentally
friendly doesn’t have to involve major
renovations. Many people waste a lot of energy by not
sealing cracks, doors and windows. Checking to make sure
a home’s insulation is in good shape and
replacing it if it’s not is another good
way to stop energy waste.
Switching to radiant
heaters will not only help save energy, and lower
heating costs, but you’ll soon find that
it really adds to your family’s comfort as
well. That is because it put the heat at our feet, which
are generally cold, and offers cooler air near
head level, where we are generally a little
warmer.
Radiant Heaters Tip:
If you are looking for a great way to save
energy and maximize comfort in your home at the same
time, then radiant
heaters may be the perfect solution for you.

The Latest Trends in Home Improvement
Radiant
Heated Floors - Home Remodeling Trends You can Really
Warm up to
CBS
Moneywatch.com recently identified twelve trends in home
remodeling for 2011. The hottest
projects—bathrooms, must-do remodeling and warmer
interior design projects made the top three, with green
living coming in at number nine. With growing
concerns over rising fuel prices and carbon
footprints, it’s not surprising that more and
more homeowners are investing in their homes to
cut fuel consumption. Installing Warmzone radiant
heated
floors is a great way to keep up with remodeling
trends and recoup on home improvement costs.
How does radiant heat
work? Heated floors radiate heat from the
floor up to keep you warm and comfortable when cold
weather sets in. Two types of systems—electric heat
cable and hydronic
(water-based) tubing systems—when installed
in the subfloor of your home act as heating elements to
warm the surface above. These heating
cables/tubing coordinate with a thermostat and
sensors, as do traditional forced air systems, to
provide heat to your home.
Warmzone radiant heat is green heat. Powered by
electricity, electric radiant
heat cables can heat a surface in 30 to 60 minutes.
Unlike forced air systems, they are room specific.
With the help of sensors and a programmable
thermostat you can heat one room, or heat them all
quickly and efficiently, saving money on your
monthly gas bill. And unlike forced air systems,
they do not belch out the dust and dirt that compromises
air quality in your home.
A radiant heated floor installation
equals cheap equity. Heated
floors give your home an impressive level of comfort
and customization with minimal investment. Not
sure you want to install heated floors throughout
you home just yet? Warmzone offers a variety of heat cable
products that can be easily installed under the
subfloor of any room in your home, whether it be
bathroom tile, wood or even carpet.
If, as CBS
Moneywatch.com suggests, the over-arching remodeling
trend for 2011 is to tackle small projects while
you wait to do the really big remodeling project
that’s on your list, why not start by installing
heated flooring in your home. Unlike
other “one-size-fits-all” radiant heat
providers, Warmzone offers an array of radiant
heated flooring solutions designed to
better match your individual project, and your budget.
The good news—many of these floor
heating products can be installed by
do-it-yourself homeowners.

are odd shaped, including a custom radiant floor
heating system.

Heated Driveways and Roof Deicing
The Hottest
New Trends in Home Remodeling
Among the hottest types of projects listed in the
2011 CBS Moneywatch.com twelve trends in home remodeling
are the “must do” and green
remodeling projects. If you are finally replacing your
roof or pouring a new driveway, consider
incorporating a snow
melting system into your project list. Radiant heat
is green heating technology that actually enhances
the life of your roof or driveway without
impacting your overall fuel consumption.
Warmzone roof deicing
systems are designed to prevent the buildup of snow,
ice and large icicles around roof eaves, drains
and valleys, preventing damage to your roof and
the potential for injury from falling icicles. And you
have several roof
heating options to choose from. How
it works—a Warmzone RoofHeat
heating element is embedded between two layers of
vinyl, which serve as protection from UV rays and other
potential physical damage. Lightweight, flexible
and easy to install, these panels can be placed
under new or existing asphalt, shake or tile shingles,
making roof
heating a low-cost, viable home remodeling
project.
Installing a
heated
driveway is another way to add safety,
convenience and efficiency to your household while
building equity. Warmzone cable is available in
pre-configured mats, making easy to roll out under
newly poured driveways or pavers. The cable generates
heat with the help of an automatic
sensor that detects inclement weather and
activates the system. It immediately detects
changes in temperature and moisture associated with snow
and similar weather conditions to warm up
your driveway so it’s clear before
your boots (or tires) ever see the pavement.

Recent research by Wavin Plastics into the
publics perception of under floor heating systems
has revealed more than a third of house buyers
would include this type of heating in their top
five wish list of luxury items when buying a new
home.
While findings show that
awareness of under floor heating systems
and its benefits are high, only a tenth of the
population have actually lived in a property
which has such a heating system. However, 37% have
experienced the comfort of these heating
systems either by visiting a home or hotel which has
the system installed.
There are many benefits to
under floor radiant heating systems, such as
warmth without the dryness of central heating,
comfortable to walk on with bare feet, as well
as being very energy efficient. Many times, once
people have experienced how fantastic radiant
heating systems are they want them in their own homes.
More and more people are realizing the benefits
of radiant under floor heating.
Surprisingly, these radiant
floor heating systems are now very
affordable. There is virtually a system out there
for every budget.If you’ve always
dreamt about the possibilities of having floor
heating, but always assumed it was too
expensive, you should contact the staff at warmzone.com
about economical floor heating solutions.
